Personally, attending university was something that my parents expected of me since young. I didn’t have to worry about finances, they told me it is their duty. I only need to focus on studies – that is my duty. If your parents told you the same thing, we are fortunate and should be very thankful.
Unfortunately, there are many out there who are not receiving the same kind of opportunity because of their financial background. It’s not they are not smart or hardworking, they just have a lot of things to consider and prioritise before considering university as an option.
